BATTELLE BOX.COM USAGE POLICY

Battelle has entered into an enterprise agreement with the cloud storage provider Box.com. Box.com enables Battelle users to have accessible and secure storage and to share information in a secure environment. Battelle employees who use Box.com should understand that they can share files with other Battelle employees, as well as third-parties. A Battelle user must specifically grant access to a third-party user in order for the user to have access to Battelle’s files. If granted access by a Battelle user, a third-party user may also share files with Battelle employees. All users of Battelle’s Box.com account should only share files that would be appropriate in this context. The sharing of confidential information could allow it to be read and disseminated by others and could have a detrimental effect on Battelle, its employees, business partners and others. In addition, communications in Box.com, like any other Battelle communication, could be subject to discovery in litigation or investigations.
